Susan Smart is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) with over 10 years of experience in behavioral health. She provides compassionate, inclusive care to individuals ages 12–99, offering both in-person and virtual therapy through Insight Mental Wellness.
Susan is deeply committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for all clients, regardless of background, identity, or life circumstances. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered, focusing on meeting clients where they are and developing realistic, individualized treatment plans.
She integrates a variety of evidence-based therapies, including CBT, DBT, ACT, and trauma-informed approaches, to support clients in building resilience, confidence, and meaningful, lasting change. Susan also supports clients through life transitions and offers group therapy and optional faith-based counseling.
In addition to her clinical work, Susan supervises LPC-Associates and is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of mental health professionals.

Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Psychology from UTSA
Master’s degree in Counseling from Wayland Baptist University
