Full Job Description
Hybrid work setting (Remote/Telepsychiatry/In clinic)
Flexible work schedule.
Ability to perform any of the following: Psychological
assessments, individual therapy, family therapy, couples therapy, group
therapy, or other therapy within the scope of practice. Passion for a positive
approach toward client care/commitment to the highest level of quality client
customer service.
Minimum availability of 20 hours per week (can be a
combination of days, evenings, and weekends). Candidates must be willing to
become credentialed with insurance panels
Responsibilities based on qualification/scope of practice
Psychologist:
Perform psychological assessments using the battery of
testing for differential diagnosis. Conducts assessments of patient needs, develops
care plans and makes appropriate documentation.
Therapy/Counseling:
Provides counseling, therapy, and/or psychotherapy to patient and families as
appropriate
Provides and/or arranges for therapeutic interventions as appropriate for
patient in a crisis condition.
Establishes and maintains case files, referrals, and other related documents
for treatment, ensure appropriate treatment and care are delivered.
Follow-up with referral source as well as community linkages.
Follow all agency and governing board policies and procedures.
Ensure that patients are scheduled for needed psychological and psychiatric
evaluations
Ensure all documentation relevant to patients treatment is documented.
Assists the patient and family with the development of the individualized care
plan.
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Psychologist must possess the appropriate clinic
psychology degree (Psy.D or Ph.D) and Therapists must have a master’s degree
(LCSW, LPC, LMFT) in social work, addiction counselors, clinical psychology,
counseling or a closely related field.
2. must be licensed in the state of Texas.
3. Experience providing clinical counseling to individuals
and families in outpatient services.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of mental health and/or addictive diseases disorders
and treatment methods
5. Ability to provide skilled treatment to patient with mental health, social,
behavioral, and addiction problems.
6. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with patients,
families, service providers and colleagues.
7. Exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
8. Knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment methods, preferably in an
outpatient behavioral health care setting.
9. Bilingual (English/Spanish) clinicians are in demand.
