Stimulant Prescription Policy Update
Effective Date: December 1, 2026
Insight Mental Wellness will no longer prescribe stimulant medications. This change applies to all Insight Mental Wellness patients and providers. It is not a reflection of any individual patient or their treatment needs.
This includes medications such as Adderall, Vyvanse, Ritalin, Focalin, and Concerta, as well as
their generic versions.
Your Options
Continue Care at Insight Mental Wellness
You may continue receiving care at Insight Mental Wellness. Your provider can discuss treatment options that do not use controlled medications and help create a plan that fits your needs. Your other services with Insight Mental Wellness will remain available.
Transfer Stimulant Care to Another Practice
How to Transfer Your Records
Complete an Authorization to Release Information form with your new provider’s name, address, phone number, and fax number, then return it to Insight Mental Wellness. We will send your records, including your medication history, so your new provider has the information needed to continue your care. Please call the clinic to request for ROI form.
Medication During the Transition
Before December 1, 2026, your Insight Mental Wellness provider can provide one final 30-day supply of your stimulant medication to help bridge you to a new provider. Please keep your next scheduled appointment or call us to schedule one.
After the final 30-day supply, Insight Mental Wellness cannot refill or extend stimulant prescriptions. Plan for your new provider to take over before that supply runs out.
Do not change or stop any medication on your own. Talk with your provider if you have questions about how this change may affect your health.

Next Steps
- Decide whether you would like to continue care at Insight Mental Wellness with a non-controlled treatment plan or transfer stimulant care to another practice.
- Keep or schedule a visit with your Insight Mental Wellness provider before November 30, 2026.
- If you plan to transfer care, begin looking for a new prescriber and return your completed Authorization to Release Information form.
